Happy Halloween

Since I'm not sure when the next time will be that I'll have a belly of this magnitude during the month of October, I tried to capitalize on this characteristic when planning our costumes. I present to you...

The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly

(and a few other Halloween-related things like a worm, eye ball, skeleton, and bat)

and....

The Spider who is fixin' to be swallowed

So tasty!

Here's a close-up of the consumed items:

We were in charge of bringing fruit to the Halloween party. What do you think of our skewered bloody eyeballs? It's amazing what you can do with a melon baller, cantelope, raspberry jam, blueberry and toothpick!

Happy Halloween!

Nice flippin' work! Those costumes were so original and awesome...so impressed. You have now affirmed my notions that you're going to be one of the best Mommy's out there :)

Ha Ha Ha! Lovely, I think you should have been a priest and a pregnant nun, but your costume was funny also :)

Hey, awesome costumes!

Did your doctor say it was okay to wear your compression socks like that though? ;-)

The costumes are fantastic!

Rachel, I didn't even THINK to use my compression socks. I could've saved myself 50 cents if I'd done that...how many google ad clicks does that equate to?

On second thought, these were more light weight which is good b/c I was already sweating so much with the Goodwill-purchased shawl/afghan and polyester mumu that there was condensation collecting on the inside of my belly pouch. Embarrassing!

You are so dang cute -- I have always wanted to be pregs on Halloween, as opposed to giving birth the week before, (although a post-partum belly really looks like a softer, more jiggly version of the big preg one.) I suppose I could have had a really great costume with my post-partum belly, but I am sure I would not have been so creative as you are. I hope you won a prize -- clever indeed!
